words or phrases that call for titles?

Hi, I think I saw a long time ago a detailed response by CalifJim on this topic. I can not locate it. Can you help me?

I think there are certain phrases that prompt the use of titles like "is or waa elected", "is considered", etc. What are some others ones you can tell me? Of the three I listed below, I believe we can use the definite article for the second one in addition to attaching no article.

He was elected president/leader.
He is considered president/leader.
He plays president/leader in this film/play.
