Words following "condolences"

Is there any rule regarding the words that follow "condolence" or "condolences" in a sentence? For example: ...express our sincere condolences (at/on/for) the death of your father....

I know of no rule. I, myself, would probably use "on the death...". I think most people would find any of them satisfactory under the circumstances.
