Is there a "quote, saying" in remembering on how to spell words that end in el or le? Example: model, idle, angel, axel, asile. Thank you.

For starters, most words you will encounter will have an le ending

Here is a simple rule I just learned... this works about 70% of the time.

le words have a letter with a 'stick' or 'tail' before ending in le- b d k t f h are stick letters because they have a higher point tail letters are g y p j q because they have a lower point.

Amusing rule there, but is 70% really enough accuracy to bother looking for sticks and tails?

Aw, I thought I might like looking for a little tail.
