Do you agree "proud" and "pride" are pretty much the same meaning?
Both mean pleased or pleasure, a state of mind. Except pride has more properties.
I am proud of [ my achievement or a new BMW ]. (Adjective)
I am prideful of [ my achievement or a new BMW ]. (Adjective)
I pride of [ my achievement or a new BMW ]. (Verb)
I take pride of [ my achievement or a new BMW ]. (Noun)
I looked at [ my achievement or a new BMW ] with pride. (Noun)
