Wording help please?

Hi,

Could you please advise how to use these two words correctly?


I need to [ access / appraise ] the situation carefully. (Are they interchangeable?)

I made a careful [ assessment / appraisal ] on the situation. (Same as above)

The car was [ accessed / appraised ] at $10000. (Same as above)
