Wording and sentence correction

Please correct the following sentences:

I am still alive and smiling after a 16 hour flight.

I an still alive and smilling after 16 hours of flight.

Are both sentences correct? Please advice.

Anonymous I am still alive and smiling after a 16 - hour flight. This one (with the hyphen as shown) is the better of the two. The other one is also correct, however.
