Are these sentences worded in the correct way? FYI: Duncan is the king.
When the army of the dark wizard Fistandantilus began the Dwarfgate War by marching on the fortress of Pax Tharkas with their Neidar dwarf and Abanasinian plainsmen allies in 39 AC, Kharas urged Duncan to propose peace. Duncan agreed to make the attempt, but the peace effort failed and the dwarven king ordered Kharas to prepare to face the enemy on the field of battle.
