Can anyone please advise whether the word "Check" can be used to denote the payment medium which is used to make payment to any person?
Normally, the word "check" denotes to make sure or ensure or verify. However, can the payment medium - otherwise represented as 'cheque' - not be denoted as "check" ?
Example : I received a check of US$ 100
