Word question

Is it common and appropriate to use the word 'from' this way in these sentences, as I have seen in similar sentences?

He had a seizure 'from' a medical condition.
He had a seizure 'from' being scared.
He had a seizure 'from' drinking too much.

He had a knee injury 'from' over exercise.
He had a heart attack 'from' eating fast.
He had a heart attack from the shock.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, that use of from is quite common, but I don't recommend its use in any formal situation. There are options: because of, due to to offer just a couple.
