Which sentence is correct, specifically the placement of 'as a faculty member'?

I worked 'as a faculty member' at the University of Dubai in the department of Geology.

I worked at the University of Dubai 'as a faculty member' in the department of Geology.

Are both correct? If so, is there a preference?
