Word order

hi there,

i've some trouble with my english homework maybe anyone can help me?

But her face was interesting and intelligent and attractive is an acceptable english utterance, with regular word order-But interesting and intelligent and attractive was her face is not. Can you find instances that display this 'unusual' sequence? Can you formulate a hypothesis for conditions of use?

i'd be very grateful if anybody could help me.

Hi, Broadly speaking, I'd say that the unusual word-order makes what is said seem rather poetic, rather literary. It makes you think more about what is being said. Clive
