Word order

Hi All!

I would need your advice on this sentence. Does it sound natural? What would be the correct word order? Thank you loads!

Medical advice:

1. While walking, use crutches for 3 months from the day of surgery

Top answer

Ok, but you don't need the while walking part. It's understood that you will use crutches only while walking.

"From the day of the surgery" doesn't sound natural to me. It sounds like it must be exact to the day. A month is a long time by comparison.
Use crutches for the first three months should be adaquate.

I'd suggest:
Use crutches for three months after your surgery.

(I totally agree -- no need to say "while walking.")
