Hello everybody!
Can you please check my word order in red sentence?
Phase four is negotiation. Even on the spot , when parties had already sat at the negotiating table, it is possible to improve the manner in which negotiations are conducted. Negotiators can always have various manuals at hand that explain standard conditions of contracts and advise when they should be abandoned.

Word order is OK, but I'd change had sat to have sat down .

Of course it should be Present Perfect tense. The rest of the sentence is in the Present Simple. Thank you
