Word in Use?

Is the verb 'expatiate' still in common use? If so in which English-speaking countries? Thanks

Hi, Is the verb 'expatiate' still in common use? I would say it never was in what I would call common use, in any country. It's a word I rarely or never hear, and rarely read in modern English, and rarely use myself.

Only in the novels of Dickens, as far as I know, and he died in the 19th century.

It's a good word. Too bad it's as dead as Dickens.
