Word for special type of e-mail

Hello everybody,

I´m looking for the English word for a special type of e-mail: one that is sent to more recipients (for example to tell your friends about your new address or phone number, or one that a boss sends to all people in the department, etc.) In German it´s called "Rundmail" (round mail), if that helps anyone.

Thanks for your help!

I assume it's called a "group mailing", since one of the functions of our address books online is to have addresses listed by groups. And, by the way, welcome to the forums!

Hi Philip,

Thanks for the welcome and for the answer! But how do you use the word in a sentence?

For example: "I sent a ...... to all my friends with my new phone number". I sent a group mail?

Yes. I'd say, "I sent a group mailing to everyone.....".
