Word for 'not working properly'

Is there a word when computer doesn't work properly? When it freezes, when it's too slow and that kind of stuff. My language has a word for that, and I wonder if English has it too. It doesn't need to be exactly computer, it also may be and some software. Thanks!

Hi DamirK, and welcome to the forums. We say it's frozen when it's not doing anything. We also say "crashed" when it stops working completely.

Thanks Barbara and thanks for the answer, but I know that expressions. Is there a name when it barely works, when errors pops up, when it's slowed down, etc. It's not frozen or crashed,

I don't know if it's a high-tech term or not, but when something isn't working properly, we say it is "out of whack".
