word for "low castle" in medieval castle

0hello, I've got problem with a word for so-called "low castle" in medieval castle, a place within the walls with stables etc. Polish word for it is "przedzamcze", I can't find it in any dictionary.02br
00I've found something called "outer bailey" but I'm not sure if this is what I'm looking for....02br
