Word for "I should have it" or "give it to me it should be mine"

The word or phrase completely escapes me, but the meaning of it is basically a deragatory, selfish meaning. The only example I can think of, is when one thinks they should be given something just because. Like a yearly bonus or the sort. Just because we earned it last year, this person thinks they should have it every year, even if not earned. Sorry this is so confusing. Thanks for any help you can provide.
