Word for a 'expense sharing' / 'self sponsored' party?

If a couple of friends and I are planning on a send off party to someone who is travelling by sharing expenses, what do we call that party as?

I am sure there is a word for it but I forgot.

If there is a party that is sponsored by someone (expecially the host) what do we call that party as?

If there is party that is self sponsored (expenses are shared) by the attendees, what do we call that party as?

both formal and informal/slangs are welcome.
Thanks.

Hi Here are some informal phrases... - If a number of people want to contribute to a party then they can "start a kitty". This is a pool of money that each person gives to - as much or as little as they wish.
