Word difference constructional vs construction

Hi.
Can anybody explain to me why it is not right to say constructional materials? I don't understand why construction (a noun) is more appropriate than constructional (an adjective)
Thanks ^_^

anonymous constructional materials I wouldn't say it's not right. I would say it's very rarely used in comparison to "construction materials". In fact, if you search for "constructional materials" in Google you get the message Showing results for "construction materials" , as if there were no such thing as "constructional materials".

  • That's how rare it is.
  • When "constructional" is used, it's often in the context of very abstract studies such as conversational analysis ( The turn constructional component describes basic units out of which turns are fashioned.
