Word difference?

I believe there are occasions when 'while' has a different meaning to 'whilst' - can you please confirm this

Yes, these words have changed shades of meanings over hundreds of years, and also may have different meanings in different dialects. Whilst is archaic and, of course, while is not.

While can be a verb, and used in idioms such as "worth one's while".
