Hi,

what problem would students find with this sentence, refering to word class and s v o c a?

" I at the weekend saw good film "

That depends on the level of the students.

I'll just offer a better version.

" At/on the weekend I saw a good film. "

" I saw a good film at/on the weekend . "

The obvious problem or the why a student COULD produce this sentence is that we generally put adverbs of frequency before a verb (after a subject) although I've never really seen a student try and put adverbial phrases in this position- real example or something made up to test grammarians... hmmmm....
