Word Choice

Is this sentence clear

The project is at a standstill while we wait for the customer to provide paint color selections so that we can complete the final painting.

Top answer

Yes. You could make it more concise at the cost of losing some information: The project is on hold while the customer chooses paint colors for the final painting. Waiting is implicit, the customer is providing a selection of paint colors rather than choosing a color, and the completion of the final painting is contingent on the customer's provision of a paint color selection; however, if you are short on breath, the concise version will work.
