Should this sentence include a comma and/or is there a better way to rephrase the sentence:

The windows were installed including the garden window.

Yes, it must have punctuation; I think a comma would be okay.

You could change to:

The windows, including the one that looks out on the garden*, were installed.


*I'm assuming that's what you meant by 'garden window'.
