Is this sentence clear:

We are still waiting for an ETA for the door and have placed a call with the supplier to ask about one.

It's not as clear as it could be. If I understand correctly what it's trying to say, it seems to be going in reverse. We've placed a call with the supplier to give us an ETA for the door (because we're still waiting for it).

  • It's not as clear as it could be.
  • If I understand correctly what it's trying to say, it seems to be going in reverse.
  • We've placed a call with the supplier to give us an ETA for the door (because we're still waiting for it).
  • You don't really need the part in parentheses.
  • It's obvious you're still waiting if you've called the supplier.
