Word choice

I am not sure what word/s would work in this sentence, specifically when we say that he made many errors with/from/by/on his for forehand shot. For example:

Roger Federer has made many errors from/by/with/on his forehand today.

Which of these words or others would work?

Thanks

I would use only 'on' and 'with' there. BTW, the use of the present perfect suggests that the match is still not over. (at the time of saying that)

Thanks teacher! The present perfect is the use of 'has' before made. Right? Also, wouldn't the present perfect suggest that the match just finished recently?

In this particular case, you used the present perfect in combination with 'today'. To me, this suggests that the match hasn't finished yet (or perhaps that Federer has another match scheduled for today)

True. that ia confusing, I firgot that I had the word today in the sentence. So, if I were to exclude today, could the the present perfect in this sentence suggest that the match finished recently?

Also, did I write the last sentence correctly, specifically the use of the words 'were' and 'could'?

Many thanks again teacher!

Thanks. Sorry to bother you but I have one last question. If I used the word 'can' instead of 'could' would this be possible as well? I think yes, but I would like your confirmation.

In my opinion, it should be 'could'. 'would' and 'might' are also possible there (but they will alter the meaning ). With 'can', you should use 'If I exclude....".

Got it. Thank you very much. So the reason is because the tenses have to go together. Right? But how would the meaning be altered with the use of 'would' - maybe 'could' shows a possibility that it may suggest that?
