Word Choice

Would "a sense of joy" work when describing a child's emotions? Or would it be better to say just "joy" or "Isla was delighted when she beat her brother and Billy."?

Thanks in advance!

The two children breathed a sigh of relief. Billy then suggested that they play a game of Snap, and Isla found a sense of joy in beating her brother and Billy.
