Wonderful or fantastic?

I know that there is a difference between wonderful and fantastic , but can we use them interchangeably? If this is true, can you give me an example, please?

"Fantastic" sounds like more than "wonderful."

Today among younger English speakers, words like fantastic, awesome, amazing are pretty interchangeable.

Wonderful still sounds to me a bit better, a bit more thoughtful.
