Wonderful group that we're?

Hi.

In the video above and at the 2 minute mark, Richard Feynman, I think, says:

..and when I got into the Arista, I discovered that what they did in their meetings was to sit around and discuss who else was worthy to join this wonderful group that we're.

Now, assuming what I've written above is correct, what's the use of that we're there? I think it means to join our wonderful group or something. Could anyone please help?

Hi, GPY. Thanks for the reply. But we can't say was worthy to to join we are this wonderful group, right? I think we should use either our wonderful group or this wonderful group that we are.

Right.

The meaning that "we are this wonderful group" is included in "this wonderful group that we are", but you cannot substitute the former into the sentence because it doesn't fit the sentence structure.
