Hi~ In the following sentences, I am confused about the meaning of the part in red in this context.
(According to the author, there are five specific principles of "courageous leadership", which was mentioned in earlier part of the writing.)
Is it possible to understand the phrase as meaning "within the interactions among the five specific principles"?
OR
does it mean "within the five specific principles respectively"?
If you have any idea, please let me know.
Thank you~

Effective leaders understand that relationships premised upon trust
and respect are key to learning and essential to success. Without
an atmosphere of trust among the adults in school, students’ success
rates drop significantly (Bryke & Schneider, 2004; Bryke, Bender
Sebring, Allensworth, Luppescu, & Easton, 2010). Relationships occur
through and within each principle of courageous leadership, starting
from the beginning—getting to your core. A meaningful relationship
has to be present between you and your mission. This is at the heart of
getting to your core. This becomes an attractor to like-minded
colleagues who then comprise the leadership team. The team, in turn,
builds sustainable relationships with the staff members who ultimately
reach all children.
The wording is fuzzy, so it is hard to say exactly what the writer intended. My notion is that the writer wants to say that "relationship" is the underlying fact for each of the principles AND that following each principle results in a necessary relationship. The one part is fairly clear ("relationships occur within each principle").
