"Withdraw" or "Take back" a statement

Hi.

Is it okay to say "I withdraw what I said just now"?
Or would it be better to say "I take back what I said just now".
Also, is it wrong to use "withdraw" instead of "take back"?

Hi, Both are correct, but 'withdraw' is much, much more formal. Clive
