With week three of Occupy Wall Street protests in full swing

Hi

The is the starting line of a news article:

With week three of Occupy Wall Street protests in full swing, the mainstream media continues to present the demonstrators as teenage anarchist slackers.

I think "With week three" functions more or less as a single unit. Correct me please. Can't I say: With three weeks of...?

Please help me with the query above. Thanks.

'With' is a preposition and 'Week 3' is of course a unit, but it does not mean the same as your paraphrase: it refers only to the 3rd week.
