A woman was charged in court in connection with the death of her son.

Is the sentence OK? Does "in connection" fit in the sentence?

Do you mean that "... charged in court for the death of her son" is also correct? So either "for" or "with" can be used.

At first I thought only 'with', but then I decided 'for' would be OK, too. 'With' is the safest.
