Are these sentences correct:

1-We went there with the risk of our dying.
2-We went there with the risk of dying.
3-We went there with the risk of death.
(We went there and going there involved the risk of death)

4-He taped our conversations with the risk of these becoming public.
Does this mean:
a-He taped them knowing that there was a risk they might become public.
or:
b-He taped them knowing that he might decide to make them public.
