(with the?) L.A.Times

Hi,

What is the difference between "Los Angeles Times" and "the Los Angels Times"? The difference between "the iPhone" and "iPhone" is clear to me. One is a product and the other is the name of it. Still, I don't understand the case of L.A Times.

Thank you for your help,
M

Both the LA Times and the iPhone require an article/determiner when used as a noun. I read it in the LA Times . I love my iPhone.
