With pies and other projectiles

Hi,

Do you know what "with pies and other projectiles" means here ?

"Producer Jules White was optimistic about the possibilities of 3-D as applied to slapstick (with pies and other projectiles aimed at the audience), "

Regards.

Hi, 'Projectiles' are anything that you throw at people. Slapstick comedy involves throwing a lot of things (eg pies) at people. In 3D, the actor can seem to be throwing things at the audience.

Hi

One of the things that often happens in slapstick comedy is that one character throws a custard pie in to the face of another. Other things used in this way are buckets of paint or water (a projectile can be anything that is thrown)

I guess that Jules White's idea is that, with 3-D, you can give the audience the impression that the pies and other projectiles are being thrown
