With or without "why"

1. "Is there any reason he has not arrived yet?"

2. "Is there any reason why he has not arrived yet?"

Are they both acceptable? Or is one of them more natural?

Thank you

They are to me.

With "reason" the usual caution is not to say "the reason is because ...". I'm not aware of any cautions against "reason why".
