With or without preposition

Hi,

I'd like to compile a list consisting of such "alternative pairs" as

(1) protest against something VS protest something (AmEng?)
(2) teach in a school VS teach school (AmEng?)
(3) .... etc.

If you could add more examples to this list?

Also, I wonder if protest something and teach school are dominating in today's AmEng?
