With or without hyphen

Hi,

Would you write "value-beliefs" or "value beliefs"? Or are both possible? For instance, I write "value judgments".

Thanks,

Hello Sextus I would probably leave out the hyphen. But I might enclose it in inverted commas: "value beliefs". MrP

Why? Does it sound weird?

Well, it has a slightly jargonish air, to my mind. Are you able to give more context?

If that's the reason, then it's ok, because it's clear from the context.

Thanks P.
