The English word is azureous. The other one is not English but Latin. You are of course aware that its use is limited to zoology, as in describing bird colors the way we use rufous.

I wouldn't put it either way. I'm having trouble for two reasons. An attacking beast is being aggressive, so why say so? And it's your poem.
