With my son

Are these sentences correct:

1-With my first son, I was very anxious that he should learn a foreign language.
2-As regards my son, I was very anxious that he should learn a foreign language.

I think the simplest and the best way to do this is to say:
a-I was very anxious that my first son should learn a foreign language.

I just wanted to see if "1" or "2" could work. I am looking for a way to accentuate the "first son" bit. The sentence could be followed by something like: When my second son was born, I was just too old to care any more.

1 and 2 are grammatically OK. 2 is awkward and does not suggest that you have more than one son anyway. Use #1.

1-With my first son, I was very anxious that he should learn a foreign language. This is fine, and commonly said.
2-As regards my son, I was very anxious that he should learn a foreign language. This is vague and unstylish.

Thank you Mister Micawber and Clive.

I have to apologize. I made a mistake. i forgot to type the word "first" in "2".

As for "anxious", well I see now that "eager" is a better word.
