"With hope" and "with the hope"

Hi

Could you please tell me if both "with hope" and "with the hope" are OK here?

She went abroad with hope to meet him again
She went abroad with the hope to meet him again.

Thanks,

Tom

I agree with MM.

The usual wording:

- I might do something with the hope of meeting him again. (hope = noun)

- I might do something because I hope to meet him again. (hope = verb)
