With ~ ,_____________, from.... to..... meaning?

Please look at the following sentence.

"With new categories and divisions, they sought to showcase the very best the industry has to offer, from photography to product designs and way beyond"

Even though I know meaning of every words there, I couldn't understand what it is saying now.
I think "the very best" is modifying "showcase", why didn't he write as " they sought to the very best showcase (where) the industry has to offer.
Due to "showcase" and "the very best", I couldn't understand the exact meaning of the sentence.
Couldn't you help me with understand it ?

Thanks in advance.

I know my sentence is clumsy compared with the original, but I hope it helps you understand it. You h

Thank you for your kind response,Mr.Micawber. Did you mean "the very best" is a noun phrase ? I think it was an adjective phrase. Is "showcase" also a noun phrase ? right ? Thanks for your kind answer in advance.

'To showcase' is a verb

Ah~ Even though you said it is a little clumsy, for me it is a perfect explanation. I thought "showcase" is a noun, not verb. Now I could fully understand what it said. Thank you so much,Mr.Cool Breeze.

In dictionaries in my country, it says that "showcase" is used as only noun.I couldn't imagine it can be a verb as well. Thanks again,Mr.Cool Breeze.
