Hi,
I wonder whether or not it is appropriate to use "with affection" to a platonic friend for a letter closing.
I found the closing are categorized both in business letter closings and love letter closings on another website, and I'm very confusing.
I sense "affection" is looser than "love".
Many thanks!
"with affection" is appropriate to use with a close platonic friend, if you are the kind of person who likes to display their affection, and you feel that the recipient is on the same wavelength. If in any doubt, avoid it. It is not appropriate in a business context.
