With a smile

Hi teacher~

I am looking for sentences to describe this situation.

I said sth to her and

'She was smiling when she said she got a present.'

I made a sentence like this

She showed her smile saying she got a present. (Does this sound ok?)

I would like to use 'with a smile' if possible.. but I don't know how.

Are there any better sentences~~?

Thanks in advance~

She said with a smile that she got a present. (That is not a great sentence, but it passes muster.)
