Hi.
How are the two chess comments 'with advantage' and 'with a plus' different from each other when put after a variation?

Thanks in advance

Can you provide a litltt more context? What do you mean by a variation? Do you mean more than a specific move?

A variation is defined as any line of play in any phase of the game

They both sound like they mean 'this is a good move'.

Check is designated with a plus sign ( + ), so maybe "with a plus" is a way of saying "giving check".

"With advantage" means that after that variation, the player has an advantage—anything from being ahead in material to having more pieces developed to having his king secure and his opponent's exposed, etc.

They basically mean the same. They're both vague reference to one side's standing better.
