With a half day window?

Aunt Patsy gave me the gift voucher for an 'ultimate de-stress experience'......

So here I am, on my 29th birthday. Sitting on a couch in a white towellin robe and surreal paper knickers. With a half-day window. Max.

This passage is taken from a book. I don't understand what a half-day windown means.

The expression probably comes from the space program, which introduced the term "launch window."
