Wish+would vs would like

Hi,

The wish+would construction can be used with inanimate subjects to mean 'would like',e.g.:'I wish prices would go down.',
'I wish it would rain.'

My question:
Does the same principle apply to the following sentence?Does it sound natural?
'I wish my ideas would help you.'

Thanks.
