wished

i wished that my students should pass with good marks .

"Wished" ought to be in past. Emotion: smile

I would use "would" rather than "should", but the pattern "wish (that) someone would (do something)" doesn't seem quite right to me in this case. This pattern is normally used when the other person can choose to do or not to do something, as in "I wished that my students would work harder". While students can influence their hopes of getting good marks, they cannot just decide it and have it happen.

  • "I hoped that my students would pass with good marks" may be what you mean.
  • Don't forget that sentences must start with a capital letter, and that the word "I" must be capitalised wherever it occurs.
