Wish+always

Hi,

Which of the two choices is correct completing the sentence?

1.''You are always losing things.''

a.I wish you didn't always lose things.

b.I wish you weren't always losing things.

I think ''b'' is the more correct answer because ''a'' eliminates the idea of annoyance.

You're right. We use the present progressive tense with the word always , as we want to underscore an idea or notion that's either irritating or annoying, occurring often. Then, the sentence is inspired by a negative emotion.
